Hey there everyone!

Today, I spent five hours at the Newfoundland Kids Expo.  It was really fun.  There were so many things to do there for people of all ages.  I spent most of my time handing out gift bags, gathering water for mascots and volunteers, and doing other small tasks like that, but it was a great event.  I got to explore the entire exposition.   There was a fashion show put off by X-Posure models, bouncy castles, face painting, and even more.  While I was there, I had the honour of meeting Bowser from Super Mario!  He gave me a high five.  One of the children pretended to be Mario and tried to fight him.

There were so many kids there of all ages, from newborns to teenagers.  There was truly something for everyone.  The little girls all wanted to get their picture taken with me, and with Mandi Gale as well, who is the current reigning Miss Newfoundland & Labrador.  I had the opportunity to speak with her about her experience at Miss Universe Canada where she made top 20, and it sounds like she had an absolute blast and wishes it could have lasted much longer.

Tomorrow I will be doing a walk for lupus.  I was asked to do this by my aunt’s friend who has actually been diagnosed with this disease.  I am happy to be able to go out and support such a cause, especially when it’s a bit more personal.

I’ll keep you all posted on how that goes tomorrow!
